World Mental Health Day: CAMEDYC Hospital Reaffirms Its Commitment

World Mental Health Day is observed every year on October 10. This occasion provides an opportunity to raise awareness among the Haitian population about mental health disorders.
According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), people living with mental health disorders, particularly those receiving institutional care, have higher mortality rates from cancer and heart disease than the general population.
On this day of international awareness and solidarity, CAMEDYC Hospital reminds the Haitian population that it provides support services for individuals experiencing psychological distress and vulnerability.
In addition to the training sessions organized in the past, the institution also wishes to inform the public that further training sessions in psychological first aid will be offered in the near future.
Through these initiatives, CAMEDYC Hospital reaffirms its commitment to raising public awareness of mental health issues, combating stigma and prejudice, and training more professionals in this field to improve access to care and support services.
